An Illegal Worker of a Pharmaceutical Factory Died from Electric Shock, the Police Arrested the Two-way Permit Workers and Employer

The media news earlier reports a lethal industrial accident that a man was suspected to get unconscious out of an electric shock in the pharmaceutical factory.
The janitor reported to the police and sent him to the hospital without delay, but pitifully the man was dead after first aid. Later, the deceased was verified to be an illegal labor by the police. Also, the police found the other janitor and the employer holding the two-way permits and arrested the both.
By the police, the deceased as the air-conditioning technician received an electric shock as maintaining the air conditioning system. By the informant, he worked in the meter room on 2/F and his right index finger touched the meter and received an electric shock, so he was unconscious after falling to the ground.

This accident not only claimed a life but also made the employer face the rick to be imprisoned, which makes DIC desirous of reminding you of the followings :
  1. It is necessary for workers and masters to strictly obey the construction rules in doing any reparation or renovation engineering project to protect and secure reciprocal safety and interests.
  2. In the event of any electric shock occurring, it is banned on first aid on one’s own. It is impossible for those untrained to know exactly if the party affected by an electric shock is with any electricity in any other part of the body, so the person finding the affected must call the police immediately and let the professional staff deal with the case.
  3. The employer shall not hire any illegal labor; otherwise, such employer will have to face the risk to be imprisoned if the illegality is disclosed.
  4. If any citizen is in need of renovation, the option shall be the companies with scales and reputations that not only have the quality assurance but also obey the rules. If the option goes to any of independent technicians or smaller contactors, it is advised to notice if the party has bought the insurance policy required by the project prior to construction since some might neglect insurance and even hire illegal workers to save the cost without any safety awareness at all. Each citizen shall pay attention to that.
  5. If the renovation project requires any electricity engineering, it is advised to choose the companies with reputations or receiving ISO the international certification if any citizen is in need of any design/engineering companies and electricity contractors since the foregoing companies normally offer professional training sessions with sound working procedures and thus cope with the accident well if it happens.
  6. DIC offers the employees the periodical diverse training sessions including first aid, firefighting and all sorts of safety and risk management to upgrade the onsite employees’ safety awareness and emergency responsiveness.
The Design Information Center has already been registered as “Smart Will Engineering Limited”（Building Department Registration Number: MWC 4320/2011）, which is a contractor for the small-scale construction project.
