Air Conditioning worker falls and results in death

When working on the air conditioning, the worker fell down from 10 meters resulting to major head injury causing death. The Labor Department is investigating whether electrocution lead to his fall.

Points to be caution :
  1. No matter if its construction work or repair, never do it yourself. Safety should be placed first priority; thus should select a licensed interior design company and contractor. If the property owner does hire a non-licensed contractor/interior design company and something wrong happens, even if the owner brought insurance beforehand, Insurance companies may not compensate for the loss as the owner crossed legal boundaries. In the end, owners are deemed to be responsible for everything.
  2. For guaranteed protection, property owners and contractor must purchase related insurance to minimize the damage if any does happen.
  3. To ensure maximized protection, even if the contractor has purchased insurance, property owners must find a good and well established insurance company for third party liability insurance. However, consumers must be aware of the details of the insurance to make sure those terms are what you want to be protected.
  4. Its ideal to select a company that provides after sales service. If there is anything wrong after, then they can arrange a professional to repair or change.
  5. If the client wants to change their needs and/or requests, they are told to say it immediately. Designers and the engineering team will provide their professional advice. If there is anything that requires change, they can do it before work starts or during repair.
  6. If any worker is discovered not wearing a safety belt, they must be told immediately if not construction work will stop until the worker understand what is expected from them.
  7. A signature will be asked after all check up is done after work and have confirmed there's no problems.
