All people love to be pretty and strive to be beautiful at every moment. The design of one's home shows the personality of the owner, therefore, one must decorate it. In order to display a spectacular and an eye-catching environment to customers, a modern vintage design was used for Design Information Centre at Shatin.

Restoring Radiance

A “vintage wave” has occurred in interior design over the recent years. Modern Vintage design started off with using popular 60s and 70s flower print wallpapers and later more elements were used like adding a vintage chandelier to the living room. We saw an increased amount of interior designers who implemented more bold elements like bright colours to display personality and passion for life. DIC Head Designer, Kevin Chan, states that modern vintage design has developed in Hong Kong for quite some time. The point is to reintroduce old items by using modern and unique techniques and implement extravagant designs to create a unique personality for the environment.
