A lot of companies were struggling with revenue decline during the “once in ten year” financial tsunami. Many of them chose to lay off staff, however, Design Information Centre not only did not follow the suit, but even proactively expand their branch network during that period. What kind of thoughts are in their mind when they face adversity?
Risk and Opportunity
After the opening of the Wan Chai new branch last year, Design Information Centre continues their effort, expanding the branch and refurnishes the shop to a splendorous one with the trendiest materials this year.
Such bold strategies are all based on the proactive mindset of Design Director of Design Information Centre, Kevin Chan: “Everyone said the business environment is tough nowadays, but I have heard this saying for many years already. Indeed, the business environment is always tough. Why there are some people who were beaten by adversity, while there are other people who could find out a business opportunity? I think mindset and attitude are the keys. Those who are willing to work hard and stay positive would naturally find out the new way and the new opportunity.”
How to make a home looks sharp? You could utilize the lighting and the arrangement of wall materials to generate a stunning effect indeed. The newly expanded Design Information Centre store is the best showcase of an impressive environment created under the sparkling theme.
Trendy Charisma
The new store uses black colour as the design theme. From ceiling, floor tiles, to dining table and sofa, every item is in black. Supplementary with a trendy crystal chandelier and reflective glass mosaic, the glamorous sparkling effect has been created successfully. The store simulates the home environment and divides into different zones, including: wine bar zone, mini dining zone, Western and Eastern dining zone and living room of various sizes. Clients could have first-hand experience on the charisma of our trendy design.
Designers displayed the most stylish and innovative materials like figured wallpaper, subtle pattern tile, engraved mirror finish tile and even 3D mirror finish mosaic in different zones. Mixed up with fashionable home accessories, they produced fascinating designs in various distinctive styles.
Design Director of Design Information Centre, Kevin Chan said, Art Deco pattern design prevails in recent years, but there will be more sparkling elements coming up next year, making the homes to look even brighter.
There are different display zones in the store and various kinds of materials and home accessories are available.
Black colour does not necessarily equal to dull. Colourful furniture could make the whole environment lively.
Contrast to the all-black design, bathroom used red and white theme colour carries out a tidy and warm feeling.
Home mini bar becomes increasingly popular as a lot of people release their pressure with drinking wine at home.
The tiny coffee table and chair creates a relax corner around the entrance area.
More and more medium to small sized homes would like to use the tiny crystal chandelier.
