Light trough as highlight of the house

It’s common to use light troughs in interior design for the modern and stylish element. There have been some changes in light troughs design over recent years.

According to the information from Design Information Centre shows that the light trough designs were dominated by fluorescent tubes and spotlights in the past.

As some believe light source from spotlights is too bright and generate high temperature, designers use fluorescent tubes on the light trough to allow the light source to reflect from the ceiling for a soft lighting effect. This can create an illusion of high ceiling effect and improve the sense of space.

Light troughs is also an good idea in some apartments with crossbeams on the ceiling as they can disperse the light to reduce the sense of compression from the crossbeams.
