European decoration not only works for luxury mansion but also for small unit with the right colour and design. The owner of this flat is a female and adores romantic pastoral style. Thus she asked the designer, Albert, for an simple pastoral in European style without any exaggerate elements.
Fusion of new and old furniture
Although the flat has been build for a while, the kitchen and bathroom are in good state, the owner ask the designer to focus on the living room and bedroom. The 593sq.ft. with square shape of two bedrooms, square living room and dining room, designer did not need to alter the structure of the flat. With the white and pale colour as the theme with simple and smoother TV and storage cabinet this can increase the sense of space. Most furniture are moved from the former flat or self-purchase by the owner, including sofa, dining table and pendants, which make it difficult to fuse with the new design. It would be the best to have a fabric sofa but the existing sofa is made of leather. Fortunately the owner chose floral curtains with flower-butterfly decorations, highlighted the overall pastoral style.
Unique designed bed creates fun
The two bedrooms, one for parents and one for their son. Both bedrooms have limited space, it would be difficult to have enough room for the closet if we have the bed. Designer has designed the storage platform in the master bedroom instead of a storage cabinet under the bed only. As the owner’s son is still young, his bed is in bus shape with loft bed combo with shelves underneath to increase storage space. The desk is extended to the windowsill and a desk drawer is place on it for his toy and accessories collection.
