The space layout of every unit tends to have its shortcomings. To improve the unit’s spacing, it has to be done through interior design. The designer transformed the diamond-shaped dining room to square through the use of building materials. Wood element was added to infuse with the natural atmosphere.
As the dining room is diamond-shaped, a gray mirror was deliberately installed by the designers on one of the walls of the dining room, and the adjacent walls were painted in dark color to improve a non-square feeling
The apartment is located at Long Beach, Olympic Station has a net floor area of about 550 square feet, and a 2 bedrooms/2 living rooms layout. As the unit is owned by a young couple, they would want a simplicity design. The house is thus displayed with long-standing black, white and gray colors, plus wood element to create a comfort home with a stylish and simple appeal.
Wood element embellishment
To make the diamond-shaped dining room looks somewhat square, a gray mirror was deliberately installed on one of the walls, and the adjacent walls were painted in dark color to yield a squarer visual effect.
To separate the living room and dining room, a white woolen carpet is used to allow the couple to feel warm while sitting on it. Coupled with a dark gray long sofa on the carpet and the light gray wall, the living room has created a fashion triple-color feeling of mutual contrast. Meanwhile, the yellow spotlight underneath the pure white TV cabinet is able to enhance the house with a warm feeling.
To cope with the house owners’ demand for storage space, so a raised platform was constructed in the bedroom. The windowsill is used as a leisure seat beside the bed, and simultaneously increases the storage volume to create a multi-purpose effect.

A small white cabinet is set adjacent to the entrance door to use in storing keys and other miscellaneous items to help the house owners to access them conveniently while going out
The bathroom is highlighted in gray, white and blue tones, and several places are trimmed with a mirror frame to create a stylish feeling
The master bedroom is added with an original wood element, i.e., a wooden floor and yellow down lights to create a soft and comfortable space
