In addition to the common industrial elements of black iron, aluminum, and patchwork glasses with iron came strips, the designer has introduced a lot of natural wood details for a home of five. The incandescent light bulb to disperse a soft yellow decorative light to rule out the impression of having a cold industrial look.

The boat wood, wood grain-finished bricks and other materials have enriched the home with a profound wooden touch, and the black decorative lines have created an industrial look to give people a combination of cold and warm feeling.

Before…

1. Vestibule
The vestibule is relatively dark due to insufficient light illumination, the kitchen was located adjacent to the vestibule, and the kitchen door in the dining room hall had taken up a lot of space.

2. Dining room
The hallway leading to the three bedrooms was long and narrow and did not look pleasant when viewed from the dining room, and the master room was lack of privacy as it faced directly towards the entrance door.

3. Bedroom
The master room seemed rather small, but the adjacent son’s room looked somewhat bigger. So the designer decided to alter the wall and reallocate the spaces of two rooms.

After…

1. Kitchen: Wash basin being removed
After the wall has been removed, the kitchen is linked up with the dining room. The designer has repositioned the wash basin at the central kitchen table connecting the natural wood dining table. This has greatly enhanced the kitchen cabinet capacity and helped to coordinate with other areas conveniently. The white kitchen brick wall is outlined in black mortar to give a contrasting tone. The blackboard wall at the vestibule is ideal to jot down memos nd stick with family photos to improve family ties.

2. Living room: Boat wooden door is hidden in the hallway
The cultural stone TV wall connecting the boat wooden door and L-shaped cabinet in the dining room have blocked the hallway to prevent the entrance door from facing directly towards the bedroom. One bedroom is decorated in industrial theme, such as black iron, black aluminum, wood grain-finished bricks, natural wood furniture, and other natural and rough materials such as boat wood.

3. Bedroom: Wall being replaced by a cabinet
After part of the wall separating the master room and the son’s room was removed and replaced with a ceiling tall wardrobe, the master room space is widened. A drop-down natural wooden wall is made to separate the sleeping and activity areas flexibly.

Part of the wall of vestibule is a blackboard, and the wash basin is repositioned at the central kitchen table connecting the natural wood dining table.

The L-shaped cabinet in dark wood finish is stretched up to the boat wooden door to hide the hallway leading to each bedroom.

Scratch resistance matter has been taken into account due to the presence of a kid around by paving the wall with dark wood grain-finished bricks.

After repositioning the wash basin to the central kitchen table, it has created a space for a cabinet, and the white brick wall with black mortar has generated a great contrasting tone.

The overall decoration is emphasized in dark wooden color, such as the L-shaped wood veneer cabinet in the dining room that provides a large storage capacity.

To cope with the main decorative retro British theme, a brown leather sofa and a trunk-shaped coffee table are used.

The use of a drop-down wall to separate the activity and sleeping areas is an ideal choice as not to disturb the sleeping companion while working late at night.

An incandescent light bulb is hung above the shower enclosure, and its wall is paved in imitation stone tiles similar to the rest of the bathroom.

The master room’s layout is simple and emphasized in dark tone, and the bed front wall is pasted in faux cement wallpaper.
